So I got the chance to review another book by Philip Frey. This one is called "Dangerous Times".

My Review:
This is one of those books that once you pick it up and start reading it you just do not want to put it down.  There is plenty of twist and turns through out the book. I would do a full review but I actually believe I would give away to much information about the book and do not want to spoil it for anyone. I believe this is an amazing read and I highly recommend it for anyone loves thriller novels.

River Magic by J M Brown

Hi guys!
 So my post today is a review on the book "River Magic" by J M Brown. I hope you enjoy it.

Product Description:

My Review:
Okay for those of you that know nothing of this book it is part of a series called  "A False Magic". I am not sure if this books storyline has anything to do with the storyline of the other books but I had no issues understanding what was going on without reading the other books. With that being said "River Magic" is a story following the life's of two young women named Brenda and Aimee in history, but this is not the version of history that we learned about in school. In this version slavery became illegal after the validation of the constitution. The girls are hired by a mysterious man who asks them to become messengers. While carrying these top-secret messages they run into trouble occasionally.  I actually really liked this book. I have always found history interesting but with most young adult novels written on history they are either entangled with a love story or are poorly written. This book on the other hand was neither of those things. I thought it was very well written and rather enjoyed it. I would highly recommend this book.

Hym and Hur By Phillip Frey

Hi guys!
So you all know that I do book reviews and I was approved to do a review on this book called "Hym and Hur" By Phillip Frey.

Book Review:
In this fantasy-comedy eBook, Hym and Hur are a young couple who never age and have been in love for more than a century.  They also possess an array of magical abilities, two of which are either to play pranks on humankind or to perform good deeds.  Enacting both at the same time is now what gets them into trouble, especially since it's the character of Death they must deal with to bring their plans to fruition.
    The prank Hym and Hur have come up with must first be agreed upon by Death, who happens to be an unruly, difficult character.  Once agreed upon, the prank is set in motion.  But then Hym and Hur discover Death had tricked them into a contract with dire consequences for all of us.
    During their attempt to break the contract, Hym and Hur try to save the relationship of an earthbound couple, knowing they are truly meant for each other.  A good deed that will bring Hym and Hur even more trouble.
My review:
Okay well this was one of those books where at first you had know idea where it was going. The book is very short about 21 pages so it went through the story line very fast which is something that I did not like. I really enjoyed the story but I wish that would have been longer and went into more detail what was going on. Overall I really enjoyed it and would actually love for it to be turned into a series. I would highly recommend this book to anyone wither they liked fantasy books or not.

Life First By RJ Crayton

Well I got the oppurtunity to read this book called Life First. I was not quiet sure what to expect upon reading the books description but I am actually pleased with this book.

A BRIEF NOTE about the story's origin from author RJ Crayton:

The way this novel originated was a bit of a fluke. I saw a story on the news about a woman who refused to have a cesarean section because she didn't want to be -- if I recall the wording correctly -- "sliced open like a pig." The woman's baby died because of her refusal. I was horrified by the situation and thought the woman awful for refusing surgery to save her child. However, the more I thought about the issue, I wondered if I was being fair. I asked myself, how often are we told we need to have a surgery, with potentially life-threatening consequences, to save someone else's life? Should she have to be sliced open to save her husband? Her brother? A neighbor? I wondered, what would it be like to live in a world like that, where we must undergo invasive procedures to our bodies in order to save another's life? I started writing Life First soon after, with just that one question in my mind. The analogy to pregnancy isn't quite perfect, as you have to eventually get a baby out by some means. As the maternal mortality rate in many third-world countries shows, maternal health is often inextricably linked with that of the baby. But, this news story was enough to plant the seed of Life First in my mind.

My Review:

What would you do if your choices where taken away from you when it comes to having surgery to have an organ removed?

Me I would run like a mad women.  I have had surgery once to have my gallbladder removed and was scared to death before hand. 

That is what happened to Kelsey Reed a young, strong-willed, healthy girl that was told that she must undergo surgery to have one of her kidneys to save the life of a stranger. Scared by this news she goes on the run. Why run you would ask why not just say no well for Kelsey that is impossible. After a large portion of the human population is wiped out it becomes illegal to have an abortion, if you are mentally ill you are sterilized and if you are a match to someone who needs an organ you are forced to give up that organ otherwise you are sentenced to death. Will Kelsey get away or will she have to give up her kidney? Will she find anyone who is sympathetic to her situation?

  So on top of COWS! and Sheep Fish Cake Publication gave me the oppurtunity to read and review another one of their books called Souls of Darkness.

Book Review:
An anthology of 15 stories all built around a theme of the darkness within, usually resulting in murder or death. Each story is introduced with an illustration to entice you into what may follow...

This is the first compilation and colaboration by Louise Hunt, Damon Rathe and Kenneth Frank who also work under other names.
My Review:
I thought that this is a wonderful collection of stories. Each story was well written. I have to say the my favorite was Miss Hate. Overall I would highly recommend this book to anyone who is into horror and wants something where they could read individual stories in a short period of time.

Sheep By Martin D. Rothery

Hi Guys!
So as you all know I have already read COWS! by Martin D. Rothery. I also had the chance to read another one of his creations called Sheep.

Books Review:
Sheep and Cows have been the dominant species’ on the planet for eons. With their superior intellect and cultural sociological ideals they have lived together peacefully for generations.
That was until the appearance of the mythical ‘hairless apes’.
Little did they know that these upright two-legged creatures seen as the next stage of evolution by the Sheep would cause division in their long allegiance with the Cows, would draw the innocent Squirrels into the conflict and ultimately lead to a battle to assert total dominance as well as a war that would last for millennia.
And a secret war that is still being fought to this day!
My Review:
Okay just to clear something up this is Martin D. Rothery's second book but this is the prequel to COWS! not the sequel. Well I am begining to think that this series might be a way to make people angry about the things that the humans are doing to the animals in these book and convert them to become vegan or vegterian. Well if I am right I have to say that I don't know if I can be converted no matter how upset I get I hate to put this out there but I love steak. I could eat it everyday. Okay now back to my review I read COWS! to my two little girls and they loved it we are actually working through Little Women at the moment but after finishing it we are going to read this book. I thought the story was very colorful and creative. Overall I like this series and I am curious to see what the author can come up with next.

COWS! By Martin D. Rothery

Hi Guys!
So this is one of those books that I was talking about in my previous review. I did not look at any of the information before hand and then after getting approved I was strangely surprised.

Book Review:
Cows are trying to take over the world! But how would these normally docile creatures do such a thing? Only Jimmy Tatley, a fourteen year old boy from Golthwaite and his faithful, clever sheepdog companion Flossy can find out and stop them in time to save everyone from becoming the bovine’s slaves. This is not without its perils and comical consequences however. Of course, they get a little help on the way from some unusual characters, the Avians and not forgetting those mysterious agents ‘The Masters’.
My Review:
Cows are sweet, kind, and docile animals. Well at least that is what you would think from their apperance but sadly that is not the case. Cows have been just waiting on their time to come to take over the world using HUMANS to do their bidding. STOP drinking milk, eating cheese, yogurt, ice cream, or any other dairy products or you will become one of their slaves. This story follows Jimmy Tatley a 14 year old out on a quest to save his town.
Well I have actually read this twice since recieving it once by myself and a second to my two daughters. All three of us agree that this is a wonderful story. I found it extremely funny and could not help but laugh. Overall I highly recommend this book for all age groups.

Country Tales By Fred Tidball

Hi Guys!
So I will be honest about this book review I applied for this book and a couple others without honestly reading the review on them ahead of time. So after getting approved I went through and read the information and immediately regretted my decision to apply for it. Well I can say that my opinion was actually turned around.

Book Review:
The County is ruled by Her Ladyship, overseer of all the galaxies and beyond, and inhabited by whimsical characters including the Faery Wizard Colin Halfbacksy, Dragon Luminosity Bleedoodle, Goblin Hoblydanclybit and Faery Persctly Twosups who falls in love with a tree.
These and many others, thirty-one tales in all, make up the delight that is County Tales.
A cautionary warning however – they’re not your average Faery!
My Review:
So to be honest I liked the story line but I did end up having to reread sections because I got slightly confused. I think that this book would actually be good for almost any age group. Overall I would recommend this book.

 So you all know I have already done a review on one of Rachelle Ayala's books "Hidden Under Her Heart", well I got the chance to read and review another one of her books. "Daily Bible Verses" is a collection of Bible verses hand picked by Rachelle to correlate with each day of the year.

My Review:
So I already thought that Rachelle was an amazing writer due to her last book that I read but the fact that she can jump from a love tell that involves a rape and possible abortion and then write this book that had to have had alot of time and effort put into writing it and choosing the write verses for each day, but know I am just blown out of the water. I love the fact that each date is actually the exact bible verses for example my birthday is November 2nd and the verse that goes with that date is "Luke 11:2 - And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth". The only thing that I would have preferred to be different are the verses are in King James format and I am partial to NIV or New International Version but that is just my personal preference. Other then that I think that is book is perfect.

"Crime & Passion" By: Chantel Rhondeau

Hi guys! So recently I got the opportunity to read and review this book "Crime & Passion" by Chantel Rhondeau.

The books review:

When troubling suspicions from his past surface, even fellow officers believe he’s guilty. Madeline might be the only person who can clear his name, but first he has to win her trust.

The body count rises and no one is safe. The murderer makes it clear Madeline is next. Soon, Donovan’s whole world is focused on protecting her and keeping himself out of prison. The more time he spends with her, the harder it is to fight his growing attraction. Since she’s been burned by love, convincing Madeline he’s interested in something more than hot sex may prove harder than keeping her alive.

My review: 

So to say the least about this book, once I started reading it became very difficult to put down. The suspense kept building chapter after chapter and kept you wondering whether the true villain would ever be found. 

Madeline Scott an ex school teacher turn dog walker is new in town. Upon walking one of her clients dogs along the beach she has a suited figure run past them not knowing that she soon would wish she had taken a better look at that figure. Stumbling across the body of a wife and child beater dead is going to stir problems in this small close cut community. One of the first officers on the scene is Officer Donovan. A hot headed womanizer who has had a confrontation with the victim just the day before. Trying to cover his tracts he tries to get Madeline to remember more about the suspect who was found fleeing the scene of the crime. Not knowing that spending time with her would have him falling in love with this woman causing an ex to come out who has decided to get Donovan back no matter what it takes. Did Suzie do it or is she framing Donovan. After being tossed in prison Donovan finds out that someone is framing him making it look as if these people being killed was of his doing.

Will Donovan ever get out of prison? Will he ever clear his name? Will Suzie be the one behind everything? Will Donovan ever end up with Madeline? Well I guess if you want to know you will just have to read the book to find out.

All in all I thought this was a wonderful book and I am very pleased that I got a chance to read it.

Hidden Under Her Heart By: Rachelle Ayala

Hey guys,
So recently I became a member on tomoson.com and I got this amazing opportunity to review this a book.

   "Hidden Under Her Heart" By: Rachelle Ayala is a story about a women going through something terrible with amazing bravery.  Maryanne Torres is an allergy nurse who falls for a patient Lucas Knight. Lucas is worried about his training and does not want anything to serious when it comes to a relationship but finds himself falling for Maryanne as well. After a fight Maryanne rebels and goes to a party with the pastor's son. At the party Maryanne is drugged, raped, and becomes pregnant. With the pregnancy comes the decison wether or not to terminate the pregnancy, continue with the pregnancy and give the baby up for adoption, or to keep her rappest child. Lucas is prolife and wants to keep the baby even though the child is not his. Maryanne finds out why Lucas is so addement about keeping the baby and has to make a decision. Will Maryanne keep the baby? Will Lucas and Maryanne be able to make a relationship work through everything that has happened?
   "Hidden Under Her Heart" is well written. The emotion and love between Maryanne and Lucas through the whole ordeal is amazing. I could feel everything as if I was there with Maryanne and Lucas making the decisions and going through everything with them. This book was worth reading and was so hard to put down. I am so sad that it ended but I would definitely recommend to anyone who wants a good book about the choices women have to go through and the struggle of making some of those choices when true love is on the opposite side. I would not recommend this book however if anyone has a serious objection to abortion.
